what does the bible say?
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and indwells believers when they trust in Christ for the forgiveness of sins. The Holy Spirit empowers, teaches, transforms, and leads God’s people toward righteousness and obedience. His guidance is always in accordance with God’s Word. As we learn His Word and grow in faith, we are transformed by the renewing of our mind to live according to the Spirit and not the flesh, allowing us to better recognize the Holy Spirit’s guidance. As we walk closely with God—through Scripture, prayer, and obedience—we become increasingly attuned to the voice of the Holy Spirit. His guidance becomes clearer as our hearts are transformed and align with His, and our desires reflect God’s will. Though the world has many voices vying for our attention, the Spirit leads with conviction and truth, faithfully directing our steps. Recognizing the Holy Spirit’s guidance becomes a daily reality as we grow in intimacy with God, trust His Word, and yield our lives to His transforming presence.
