what does the bible say?
The word Pneumatology comes from the words pneuma (wind/spirit) and ology (study of) and refers to the study of the Holy Spirit. In Christian systematic theology, Pneumatology is the branch of study that investigates what the Bible teaches about the Holy Spirit. Pneumatology includes understanding who is the Holy Spirit, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, receiving the Holy Spirit, the filling of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and more. The Old Testament indicates that God’s Spirit participated in creation (Genesis 1:2; Psalm 104:30). Also, during Old Testament times, people were filled with the Spirit temporarily to complete a task, such as when God put His Spirit onto Bezalel to create designs for tabernacle furnishings and when the Spirit of God came upon some men of Israel to help Moses lead the people (Exodus 31:1-5; Numbers 11:25)
