Is there any spiritual significance to a déjà vu experience?

Most of us have experienced déjà vu. It's when you feel like you've already experienced whatever you are currently experiencing.

Researchers say more than sixty percent of people experience déjà vu. A French psychic named Emile Boriac came up with the term, which literally means "already seen." The phenomena is also called paramnesia, which describes when someone feels like the situation is a repeat of what has already happened.

Sometimes, déjà vu is associated with more serious medical conditions, such as schizophrenia, epilepsy, and clinical anxiety.

No one really knows what causes déjà vu. Some believe it is a psychic gift, others that it is caused by stress. Some say it is a short circuit in the brain, or a dream that is remembered. Some believe it is God allowing a view into the future.

Most likely, déjà vu is a physical or psychological blip that usually means nothing significant spiritually, mentally, physically, or emotionally. If you are concerned about a déjà vu experience, it is always wise to pray about it (James 1:5).
