How old was Jesus when He died?

The Bible doesn't provide exact birth or death dates for Jesus, so while we cannot say with certainty His exact age at the time of His crucifixion, we can make an educated guess based on various historical factors. One way we can estimate Jesus' age is by tracing the Roman history that is mentioned throughout the Bible. We can also look at Old Testament prophecies of Daniel that discuss the timeline of the Messiah.

Luke 3:23 indicates that Jesus was about 30 years old when he began His earthly ministry, which lasted about three to three-and-a-half years. So, among scholars, the most common estimate is that Jesus was 33 to 34 years old at the time of His death. However, some have estimated that He was as old as 39.
