What does the Restored Church of God believe? Is the Restored Church of God a cult?

David C. Pack began the Restored Church of God in 1999 after being fired from the Global Church of God, an offshoot of Herbert W. Armstrong's Worldwide Church of God. Armstrong started his church in 1934 and died in 1986.

Armstrongism includes many splintered churches, including the United Church of God, Grace Communion International, the Philadelphia Church of God, the Global Church of God, the Living Church of God, House of Yahweh, the Intercontinental Church of God, the Church of God—Worldwide Association, and the Church of God—International Community.

Pack claims the office of apostle along with a "special knowledge" of the Bible that he and very few others know. Much of his theology is based on Old Testament law, including dietary restrictions, three kinds of tithing, Sabbath and feast days, and other Mosaic law. Easter and Christmas are forbidden.

Salvation is only found through the Restored Church of God, leaders say, and can be lost if a person leaves that church. The Restored Church of God also teaches that God is binitary (Jesus and God the Father), not a trinity.

As with many false religions and cults, Park and leaders also teach about the end of the world in ways that are contrary to the Bible. The Restored Church of God teaches that the economy will collapse, death and destruction will reign, and WWIII will begin in the United States and Britain. Park, unlike Armstrong, avoids attaching dates to his prophesies. Armstrong's prophecies were proven to be false because the dates would pass. Park also teaches that Britains are the tribe of Ephraim and Americans are from the tribe of Manasseh. There is also a strain of racial teaching to the church, as they believe that white Anglo-Saxons are the chosen people of God.

The Restored Church of God denies basic Christian orthodoxy and faith as found in the Bible. It denies the Trinity and salvation by grace. The Restored Church of God is a cult.
